2:00 – 4:00 PM CT / 3:00 – 5:00 ET
Location: Zoom (online)
The tradition of “afternoon tea” with beloved friends spans the centuries. We enjoy one another while sipping a cup of tea and indulging in mouth-watering, petite foods. Unfurling your leaves and blooming with dear sisters in such an environment is just what your heart needs after this long, dark season. We long for encouraging words, nourishing conversation, and blessed inspiration reminding us of who we are and who He’s called us to be.
Cherished sister, you are cordially invited to our first online Women’s Spring Tea. Open your home and your heart inviting five dear friends or where advised, host a larger gathering. Perhaps solitude is just your cup of tea. However you prefer and is permissible, we long for you to join us for inspiring stories, heart-warming reminders, sweet fellowship, and a special message by our sister-in-Christ, Reverend Patty Bray.
As we discover more of the gems of God’s Word together, we will be reminded how His Truth is like honey to us, more precious than gold. It is His Truth that sets us free. It is His Truth that tells us who we are and what we are called to do. It is His Truth that gives us strength in times of challenge.
Once you register, you will receive confirmation from Wellsprings of Freedom International. As the date arrives, you will get more information including the Zoom link and other helpful information. You do not have to make your gathering fancy (it’s really about the fellowship), but if it’s your cup of tea, feel free to treat your group to tea in fancy cups or scones and tea sandwiches. You could even have everyone bring a mini-treat to share!
What a special delight to be welcoming Rev. Patty Bray as our speaker during the Women’s Spring Tea! If you have ever had the privilege of meeting Patty, you will quickly discover that she is guided by her deep faith in Jesus, her passion for the Word of God, and her love for people.
Wherever God has planted her, she has significantly impacted those in her care and left a Kingdom legacy. Patty and her husband John served for 41 years at Heritage Church in Rock Island, IL and Bettendorf, IA. It was during those years when the church nurtured the beginning sparks of Wellsprings of Freedom International and saw it fanned into flame. John and Patty, in subsequent years, served as the Interim Pastors at First Wesleyan Church in Battle Creek, Michigan and at Fall Creek Wesleyan Church in Fishers, Indiana. Most recently, Patty has been teaching at, and investing in, students at Indiana Wesleyan University, where John was the Dean of the Chapel. And this winter, the Bray’s have now transitioned to a new phase of ministry in Florida.
We are honored and blessed to have Rev. Patty Bray joining us. Her teaching will inspire, challenge, and move us to action. It’s a treat you will not want to miss!
