Awaken is a free specialized leadership training initiative designed to help pastors, church leaders, and leadership teams become more aware of the spiritual realities surrounding the people they serve—and more confident in the authority, power, and victory of Jesus Christ.
What if some of the battles you and your church are facing require more than what you can see?
As a pastor or church leader, you are entrusted with the spiritual care of people whose struggles may involve wounds, strongholds, patterns, and spiritual opposition that aren’t always visible on the surface. But the battle isn’t only being fought in the lives of those you serve—it can affect the health and mission of the church itself, and you as a leader can experience spiritual opposition simply because of what God has entrusted you to lead.
You don’t have to have all the answers—but you do need to know how to recognize the battle and lead yourself, your people, and your church toward the freedom Christ offers.
Awaken is a free specialized leadership training initiative designed to help pastors, church leaders, and leadership teams become more aware of the spiritual realities surrounding the people they serve—and more confident in the authority, power, and victory of Jesus Christ.
Our desire is not simply to give churches more information. It is our prayer to see churches awakened.
Awakened to the reality of spiritual warfare.
Awakened to the authority of Jesus.
Awakened to the power of prayer.
Awakened to the unseen battles in those they serve.
Awakened to the spiritual realities that can affect the health and mission of the church.
Awakened to the battles leaders themselves may face.
Awakened to the freedom that is available in Christ.
And ultimately, awakened to the possibility of what God can do through a church that is spiritually alert, prayerfully engaged, and confident in the victory of Jesus.

Awaken is designed to move you from simply knowing that spiritual warfare exists to recognizing how spiritual realities can intersect with leadership, ministry, and the lives of the people you serve, and gain tools to move from passive to active in the spiritual battle.
As a result of this training, you will:
Recognize the Battle
Develop greater awareness of spiritual realities that may be at work beneath the surface of personal struggles, relationships, and challenges within the church.
Strengthen Your Discernment
Become more attentive to the difference between what is spiritual, emotional, relational, and practical—and learn why discernment matters when responding to the people and situations you encounter.
Understand Your Authority in Christ
Gain a clearer understanding of the authority believers have through Jesus and how His victory shapes the way we respond to spiritual opposition.
Grow in Prayerful Response
Develop greater confidence in using prayer, Scripture, discernment, and the authority of Jesus when facing spiritual challenges.
Lead Through Spiritual Opposition
Become more aware of the ways spiritual opposition can affect pastors, leaders, churches, and the mission God has entrusted to them—and learn how to respond without fear.
See Your Church Differently
Begin to recognize how spiritual realities can influence the health, unity, mission, and spiritual life of a congregation.
Lead Toward Freedom
Walk away with a framework for helping yourself and those you lead move toward greater freedom, wholeness, and transformation in Christ.
Leave More Spiritually Alert and Confident
Not with all the answers, but with greater awareness, discernment, and confidence to recognize the battle, engage it through prayer, and lead from the victory we already have in Jesus.
Awaken is specifically designed for pastors, church leaders, and church leadership teams who want to grow in their understanding of spiritual warfare, prayer, discernment, and the authority of Jesus Christ. This is not a general introductory class—it is designed with the unique responsibilities and challenges of spiritual leadership in mind.
Awaken is offered online through Zoom, allowing pastors and leadership teams to participate together regardless of location.
Yes. Awaken is offered at no cost to pastors, church leaders, and leadership teams. We believe this training is an important investment in the spiritual health of the Church and want financial barriers to be removed.
Yes. Each session includes practical application and reflection designed to help you engage with the material beyond the Zoom session. The goal isn’t simply to gain information, but to begin applying what you’re learning to yourself, your leadership, and your church.
Awaken and the Wellsprings Network Training Class serve two different purposes.
Awaken is leadership-focused. It is designed to help pastors and church leaders recognize spiritual realities, grow in discernment, understand their authority in Christ, and develop greater confidence in leading themselves, their people, and their churches through spiritual challenges.
The Wellsprings Network Training Class is ministry-team focused. It provides deeper, practical training for those who are preparing to develop and serve on a Wellsprings Network team within their church, including the framework and ministry practices used in Wellsprings freedom sessions.
You do not have to be pursuing a Wellsprings Network team to participate in Awaken.
No. Awaken is designed for church leaders who may have little formal training in spiritual warfare as well as those who already have experience in this area. Wherever you are starting, the goal is to help you develop a stronger biblical foundation and greater confidence in responding to spiritual realities.
No. Awaken is for pastors and a broad range of church leaders, including ministry leaders, pastoral staff, elders, and leadership teams. We especially encourage leadership teams to participate together so that the learning can become part of the culture of the church—not simply something one leader carries alone.
Absolutely. In fact, we encourage it. When pastors and key leaders develop a shared understanding of spiritual realities, prayer, discernment, and the authority of Jesus, they are better positioned to respond together and lead the church with greater spiritual awareness.
You will not walk away with a formula for every difficult situation. You will walk away with greater spiritual awareness, a stronger biblical framework, practical tools for prayer and discernment, and greater confidence in the authority of Jesus Christ as you lead yourself, your people, and your church.
Awaken addresses spiritual warfare and the reality of spiritual opposition, but its purpose is broader than training people in a particular ministry practice. The focus is on helping church leaders develop biblical awareness, discernment, prayerful response, and confidence in Christ’s authority so they can lead wisely in the spiritual realities they encounter.
